Volvo Cars has announced that from 2028 the Polestar 7 compact electric crossover will be produced at the company's new plant in Košice, Slovakia. It will be the first Polestar built in Europe - a move aimed at reducing dependence on Chinese production and avoiding duties on Chinese cars in Europe and the US.

Fiat has confirmed that production of the new 500 Hybrid with a petrol engine and six-speed manual will begin in November. Production will start at the Mirafiori plant in Turin, where they plan to assemble more than 100,000 cars a year. Both hatchback and convertible versions will be on sale.
