Amazon Unveils 2027 Fire TV Remote Plus: Metal Design, Button Backlight, and Lost Remote Finder
Amazon has revealed the first details of the new Fire TV Remote Plus, which is scheduled to release in early 2027. The device will feature a refreshed design and several functions that were previously available in other company models.
What is known
The Fire TV Remote Plus will have an aluminum body. Its design will resemble the Siri Remote for Apple TV, which is also made of metal. At the same time, Amazon notes that the design of the new accessory will be different from previous models.
The remote will feature backlit buttons, which are already used in the Fire TV Alexa Voice Remote Pro. This should simplify TV control in the dark. Another function will be Find My Remote to search for a lost remote.

The user can tell a compatible Alexa device the command "Alexa, find my remote", whereupon the Fire TV Remote Plus will emit a sound signal. The function will also work via the Alexa app and the Remote Finder button in the Fire TV mobile app.
The new model will replace the Fire TV Alexa Voice Remote Pro. Amazon has not yet disclosed the price of the Fire TV Remote Plus. The remote will go on sale in early 2027.
