007 First Light gets free Extended Operations DLC with New Game+
If you own 007 First Light, you have a free reason to load it up again. IO Interactive has released the Extended Operations DLC, which adds New Game+, two new missions and a weaponised Aston Martin. The game launched on May 27 and had passed 4 million copies sold by August, reports Insider Gaming. The DLC is free for existing owners.
The new modes
New Game+ lets you replay the story on the highest difficulty while keeping the gadgets and weapons you have already unlocked. It is the main draw for anyone who finished the campaign.
Photo mode also gets an upgrade. IO Interactive added new tools, filters, poses and stickers.

The missions
The headline addition is "Protocol: Valhalla". It puts Bond behind the wheel of the Aston Martin Valhalla, fitted with rocket launchers, turrets and other weapons. The car appeared for only a few minutes at the very end of the main game, so this is the first chance to really drive it. The mission takes place on roads in Slovakia.

The second mission, "Jungle Raid", is a quieter job. You work out who holds the codes to a hidden safe, crack it, grab the loot and escape across the roof of a villa.
Extra gear and a dog
Bond also gets a new rifle, a shotgun and three outfits. The studio added Jack, a bulldog that serves as the MI6 mascot, as a thank-you for 7 million wishlist additions.

The game has held up well with critics too. Metacritic lists 87 on PC and PS5, and 84 on Xbox. IO Interactive, the Danish studio behind the Hitman series, is clearly keeping players engaged after launch. Reports of an Amazon-backed sequel have also surfaced, but nothing about that is confirmed.
Where to play
007 First Light runs on PC through Steam and the Epic Games Store, as well as on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series consoles. A Nintendo Switch 2 version is due in March 2027. The studio has not said whether the Extended Operations DLC will also come to Switch 2.
